The GO2 People launched its Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) on Monday, 29th May coinciding with Reconciliation Action Week.
The group has a proud history of supporting the advancement of equality and opportunity for indigenous communities through its training and employment services.
The 2023-2024 RAP builds on the strong foundations of Reconciliation Australia’s framework and aims to fulfil the GO2 People vision of furthering education in communities, demonstrating respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and embedding positive and sustainable cultural change.
The RAP provides employees with the tools to advance Reconciliation with integrity and transparency with a plan that shares the responsibilities broadly.
“Our RAP embeds change into every member of our team, and is driven by the leadership group,” said Shawn Murphy, Managing Director.
“We now embark on a journey to advance reconciliation and build better relations with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities. Ultimately, each one of us can make a difference to realise the full potential of this RAP,” he said.
Through our RAP, we will:
• Build stronger relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples;
• Further promote an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture; and
• Provide opportunities for employment and business development with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander operated businesses.
