The RIIRIS301D – Apply Risk Management Processes, also known as the G1 training course, will equip you with essential risk management knowledge and skills. This qualification is highly regarded and forms part of the Mining Supervisor suite of units. It can often be a requirement for contractors to undertake this course as part of their on-site OHS&E obligations.

Mining can be a dangerous environment, the risk of accidents is ever-present, so it pays to be prepared to recognise and act on unsafe workplaces and practices. It’s not only the right thing to do, its unlawful to ignore hazards and risks.

The purpose of this training is to enhance your awareness of risk identification. You’ll develop problem solving skills in high-stress environments, tools to identify and manage risk appropriately and an understanding of legislation and applying it correctly.
